Dr. Joshua Babcock was a farmer, physician, postmaster, statesman, Revolutionary War general, Rhode Island Supreme Court justice, one of the three founders of Brown University, the first Rhode Islander to graduate from Yale, and a good friend of Benjamin Franklin. The film includes interviews with several local residents, including Timothy Babcock, a 10th-generation descendant of Joshua Babcock.
