Blood and Watershed

100 years ago, seven members of the Providence Water Supply Board forcibly removed residents from five villages in Scituate, Rhode Island, to create a new water supply for the 250,000 residents of the city. Today, the Scituate Reservoir provides water to two-thirds of the state of Rhode Island. Although the demand for the reservoir has changed significantly, much of the reservoir remains the same.
