on Monday a meteorite crashed through the roof of a home in Hopewell Township landing on the floor no one was hurt but the object was turned over to a physics professor at the College of New Jersey to examine his conclusion the object was a Stony chundrite meteorite which means it was metamorphosed by intense heat before entering the Earth's surface that explains why it was still warm when the homeowner picked it up this type of meteorite is extremely rare it weighs about two pounds and is estimated to be about four and a half billion years old [Music] [Music]
