Dangerous temperatures are expected to last through Monday

On Thursday the heat index climbed above 100 degrees in many areas throughout the state, making the day the hottest and most humid thus far. The National Weather Service put all 21 counties under a heat advisory and half the state has been issued an air-quality alert.
