Rhode Islander Jeremy Pena just made history as the first rookie shortstop to win the Golden Glove. However, another local baseball player’s milestone may have been all but overlooked. A Warren woman was the first to play in a major league game at Fenway with an all-male team against the 1922 Red Sox. We take you out to the old ballgame to meet the first-base star called, “The Queen of Diamonds.”
