Emergency room physicians say gun violence needs to be treated as a public health issue.

About 100 people die from gun violence in the United States every day and another 200 are injured, including children. Guns recently became the leading cause of death for children nationwide. It’s one of the many reasons why emergency physicians are working to address gun violence through a public health approach.
