Newark’s ‘learn and earn’ program gives work experience to 3,000 teens, young adults

Newark is expanding its summer youth employment program, the largest in the state. At the Newark Summer Youth Employment program, dubbed a “learn and earn” experience, some 3,000 teens and young adults aged 14 to 24 get paid while picking up critical work skills.
