Providence Police pursuit of a biker results in severe injury to Jhamal Gonsalves.

On October 18, 2020, Providence Police attempted to pull over 24-year-old Jhamal Gonsalves, who was riding in the city alongside a group of moped, dirt bike, and ATV riders. But what happened next resulted in severe injuries to Mr. Gonslaves and criticisms of police-community relations. The tragic incident sparked protests with a call for “Justice for Jhamal."
