A look at Federal Hill, now a tourist hub, but once home to thousands of immigrants.

Rhode Island PBS Weekly explores the rich and diverse life on Federal Hill and the thousands of Irish and Italian immigrants who settled there. Its proximity to downtown Providence made it the logical home for the working class in the 19th century. But post-World War II saw industries moving off the Hill in droves, leaving a gap that was filled, in part, by organized crime.
